Eventually the "challenger banks" had to realise that bribing people to open accounts with them was a losing game. Well, as HSBC lloyds Halifax etc have all cut rates I don't think you can suggest this is just challenger banks. Oddly the free 100 for switching offers are still around, which is irritating as I'm not eligible for those.

Closed 2/3 of our Santander accounts and almost 90% taken out of the remaining account. All of it into 12% p2p, I know it's risky but I don't need the money and I just hate banks so so much

I too will be closing at least 1 in the near future. I wonder if there'll be (or already is) a "wall" of Santander cash hitting P2P in the next week or so? Or at least a small privet hedge of cash perhaps?
