The forum staff believe that jjp2p (the OP on this thread) is a member of staff at "Orchard Lending Club" and posted without requesting their account be flagged as a "Representative of Orchard Lending Club" contrary to forum rules. We asked orchardlc to confirm this forum account belongs to a member of their staff last Friday but we have not had a response. In the meantime, it would only seem fair to alert forum members to the probable connection, whilst further investigations are conducted.

A couple of months ago I would have been suspicious of (ahem)...... but he's promised to behave now. As I said on the other thread, jjp2p. **l is a known malware file so it is a strange "name" to use.

Hi guys I am new to P2P and doing my research. There are quite a few out there to choose from but obviously the rates here are very tempting. From what I gather these are bridging loans and you have to look at each on t heir own merit before deciding to invest. The LTV on the loans sometimes sound to good to be true and for me is an important factor when deciding which loan to invest in among other details. Is t here anything that I should be aware of that guys & girls more experienced than me should be aware of? I have looked t through the site and seems really easy to use. I mean what makes this better than the others out there? Really appreciate any feedback or advice. Many thanks JJ maybe not the best way to gain the confidence of new members.

on the other hand, I did take them up on their offer of £20 to loan out for free. thanks!
signed up, got an email confirming account open in about 2 hours, £20 in the account and lent out. 4.5% over 3 yrs doesn't excite me but i'll take it on £20 that wasn't mine in the first place..

I did the same on the free £20 but with the 1 year. Lets hope there's not some retrospective minimum additional investment when we come to withdraw in 1 or 3 years!

They mention a "voucher" which there is no sign of, you just seem to get £20 credited. Then they mention, "invest from £100" but again, there was seemingly no need to add £80, which I would have done to be fair.

For information - a representative of Orchard Lending Club made this post a short time ago in the thread on their board which jjp2p hijacked. Hello all, This was not part of any marketing or promotion effort from Orchard Lending Club, however the user did belong to one of our sister companies. We have briefed our staff on how to behave online to avoid any further such instances in the future. We appreciate the feedback and support provided here, and apologise for the confusion caused. Thank you, OLC. Hopefully that draws a line under this particular episode.

After reading this I though why not get a free £20 for 5 minutes of my time. I went onto their website and saw the "click here for your free £20" (not verbatim) so I did. I registered and went back to the homepage but the £20 offer has disappeared and I didn’t get my £20. I've just wasted 5 minutes of my life and more writing this Offer is still there if you open in a new browser. With me it took them a while to manually verify my profile and credit the £20.

I forgot to go through the link for the £20(which I saw, but was busy browsing) and just registered through the "register" icon, so I thought I had missed out on the £20(£20.80 in 1 year), but as soon as they verified me and my account, the £20 was added. I now just need to remember that I have the account in 1 years time and withdraw.

p2pblog liz jonboy73 ilmoroIt's just come through. I didn't waste my 5 minutes of life after all. The free £20 banner appears to be back now. It was defiantly gone earlier earlier (yes, new browser, deleted cookies etc.) yes it did that for me too. all a bit roughly done imo. but hey ho, glad you get your £20 :-)
