ablrate You must be getting quite frustrated with the IP. Afterall it was early December when you recently sent a pretty direct email asking for a detailed response to our queries. For them to have not responded since then would appear rather unprofessional on their part. Have you raised a complaint following their complaints procedure? It is frustrating. I will chase again, we work closely with some of the team there on other matters so will ask them for their input

There are three outcomes, two of which would be acceptable
1) we get our money back (I think ABLrate may have previously promised this?) 2) we get nothing but borrower loses everything (properly, not like wife has it all under her name) 3) we get nothing and borrower loses nothing

hazellend here's an ablrate post from the first page in this thread (the bold emphasis is mine):- Hi All As you can imagine, we are in still in legals with the borrower to have discussion on a public forum is counterproductive to our case. There are a number of elements to this loan that we simply cannot discuss because of the ongoing legal process, to do so may affect our case, especially the matters surrounding security and the processes. I understand that lenders are keen to get a result, believe me, so are we but we have to let the legal process take its course and discussing the case in detail will only make our stance weaker and give the borrower more information with which to cloud the waters. We have been sending updates out and I know some are having issues (which we have addressed on another thread) but I would ask for your patience while we work very hard to bring this mater to a close. I may be making a rod for our own back here, but we have pursued this debt vigorously (some say far more than other platforms do) and we will find a solution to make sure lenders do not lose out.Regards Ablrate

That was the start of its five-year mission: to explore strange new solutions, to seek out new ways of avoiding losses, to boldly go where no platform has gone before.
Should be sorted by August 31.

Should be sorted by August 31. Is there some significance to the August 31st date you've mentioned?

It is the post above which quotes Ablrate 'we will find a solution to make sure lenders do not lose out'. Dated 31 August 2016. On 31 August 2021 it will be five years since they made that commitment. Long enough?

Sadly, it must be already too late for some lenders. This container saga soon to be joined by 033 on 28 March, and that is outstanding a similar amount.

Five years interest will be 65% of the original investment or even more if compounded. I may use my interest to go on a well earned holiday, have you decided what you will do with yours?

I may use my interest to go on a well earned holiday, have you decided what you will do with yours? The money I'd invested in these loans was intended to go towards an engagement ring for my beloved. Clearly other funds had to be used for that purpose. In the intervening time I've moved house 3 times, job 3 times, got engaged, married, and PTR120 Jr. will join us this summer. I wonder if Junior will be at school before the platform honor their promise regarding this loan?

Is this thread for 32?
If so I understand there's an application hearing on Monday. Might be connected to these statements from the liquidator:

I've just been doing some digging into this loan and it seems quite interesting. The director's wife appears to run an aviation company which uses the husband as a pilot - unless the similar name has tripped me up?
Tut tut tut:

Someone left a nice review in Trustpilot for this drone company which contains details that coincide with the pilot's dealing with ABL. Possibly prompted by this latest discussion. Personally I would not condemn the guerilla approach of naming and shaming. The subjects deserve it.
