I doubt they'd able to repay on time Jay, there's actually another container loan from the same company in July which is still due. I do believe they are doing their upmost to get the investor's money back, we'll just have to wait and see. Personally I won't be investing in any more loans until this one is paid back.

Does anyone know if this loan will continue accuring interest after the due date?

Does anyone know if this loan will continue accuring interest after the due date? Legally, it will. Whether it will ever be paid is another matter.

Hi Al
Again, there are certain aspects to this loan and the circumstances that are leading us down a certain path for recovery. There will be an update going out shortly, although we are, at the moment, at the mercy of the courts on timings. We have received correspondence on the subject from a lenders and will respond. We are in a fine balancing act here, where we are keen to keep everyone (not just those in the loan informed, but all of the community), while not giving ammunition to a borrower who has done everything possible so far to frustrate the process. Our public comments, if made in response to some of the comments here, could easily end up in a court scenario and be taken out of context to the rest of our case - so where we are usually open as we can be, we are, by necessity holding back.
We cannot, of course, stop the conversation here - and nor would we want to, but the moment we make public comments on particular aspects, out of context to the whole case, we could be making a rod for our own back.
I appreciate that this response may be adding flame to the fire, but you can rest assured that we are taking this case seriously and are pursuing it vigorously.
Regards Ablrate

Hi Jaydes An update is on its way today. Regards Ablrate Does "on its way" mean arrive or just that its on its way and will arrive sometime? Guys, you're too much in a hurry. I ordered a few things on eBay, supposedly from the UK. It turned out they had to arrive from China so I have to wait. Perhaps China has started manufacturing updates as well.

Today most likely means implied conditionals like if the court does what they say they are going to do and if we don't have to deal with something related to this and all sorts of other stuff. It's unlikely that this will be resolved quickly so it's not particularly urgent in principle, just nice to provide regular updates saying "nothing of note happened that we can mention". Can mention because the lawyers may tell them to be quiet to protect their and our legal interests. This doesn't bother me, I know Ablrate just like to be optimistic and sometimes get let down or disturbed by other things happening, but I'm more relaxed about it than many.

Like james I'm in the relaxed camp. The legal necessities were put in place very quickly (which I applaud) but the court system runs very slowly and sometimes logic is the last thing that can be applied. For a simple alleged speeding case I had 13 Pre-trial reviews (court appearances) and 3 trials (2 stopped mid trial) before the Crown decided not to proceed due to a total lack of any evidence that they were prepared to share with me and the Court. Patience is unfortunately a virtue when it comes to the UK legal system.
