Good news. I have had a reply to my mail advising of the manual updates.

And if it's any consolation, rates are even higher now so you haven't missed out on the spike.

I've diverted some heading for RS to FC. I'm quite favouring some loans and their attached rates over there at present. Perhaps a few doing similar hence RS rates creeping up.

How long does it normally take bank transfer to hit RS ? To date I've only used debit card but as my free ones were used up I tried direct transfer the other day (using the bank information supplied and cross checked with this thread to ensure it was the 'new' account number).
P.S. Ease of transfer to RS really is the thing which has put me off putting in anything other than a trivial amount so far.

Normally, if it clears with them by 18.30, it will be in the next (working) day by 11ish. My last transfer was delayed and had to be entered manually, but others could perhaps indicate whether that was a one-off or a regular thing as I am relatively new to RS.

I've done quite a few transfers and have never had a problem. I normally do them in the evening or weekends so I'm never sure when the transfer from my bank actually happens, but the funds always land in my RS account within a couple of days.

Transfers initiated by mid afternoon are normally credited the following (weekday) morning .... typically between 9 and 10 am.

Thanks. I think I did transfer late thursday evening (not gone checked bank account), so its probably missed the cut for Friday....so now Monday. RS needs to get out of the dark ages on payments in.....
This transfer was just a test as it was my first bank transfer to RS, so I'm still going to have to wait for it to hit before doing a meaningful transfer and then wait another 24 hours.

I don't know if they are having problems again, but money I sent faster payments Friday afternoon is still not in my account, and I would normally expect it to be. I have emailed them to find out what is going on. I agree about the slowness of their direct deposits it is for me the most annoying thing about RS and something others are much better at.
