Well, if you don't have funds available instantly, it wouldn't be wise to be pre-funding a new loan launch, would it? You seemed to have mis-read the previous post. Would you keep 'funds available instantly' always? To the point of not taking loans you could fund, to have 'funds available instantly'? I wouldn't be putting enough in any one loan (or, tbh, even one platform) to leave myself without available funds - even for a few days.

Surely anyone following a sane diversification strategy won't need especially deep pockets compared to their overall level of investment? Completely agree. Everyone should have funds available instantly that are significantly greater than their investment in a single loan, on a single platform. Why It's an arbitrary assertion that you might find useful, but hardly a rule of thumb for others with different strategies. I think its a nonsense.

Personally, I haven't yet found a P2P loan that I would care to invest anything approaching a month's income into, and I'd feel uncomfortable not having several months' income available pretty much at the drop of a hat.

From the email I received - and I quote We are pleased to confirm that the above loan will be going live on Tuesday (19/09/2016).
All investors should ensure their pre-funding level for this loan is accurate. This loan will be funded using the 'bottom-up' funding model.
If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us.
Call me stoopid but isn't 19th TODAY so that's going live tomorrow or today

Indeed they could, They have stated that they are (probably) the biggest p2p platform in the universe, and depending where in the universe (or the Solent) they are at any given time, and in relation to E=MC 2 , Monday could well morph into Tuesday, IMHO of course.

Morning, I always feel a little uneasy about being on another platforms side of the forum, so I will be brief. All I can really say is that we will certainly not put up any barriers and that we will process withdrawals immediately when requested when the loan is refinanced. Kind regards, Ed Could I suggest that you give at least 48 hours notice of any upcoming loans as some platforms are not as quick as yours to credit funds to ones account. I would like to invest more in loans on your platform and if I have 48 hours notice it 'should' give me time to sell loans on platform 'B' and transfer funds to platform 'A'.

Rather like the USS Enterprise's warp drive!! I think SS really stands for 'Star Ship'!! That can be very useful. Imagine a loan that defaults. SS can go back in time and not allow that loan to happen in the first place.

Not if they can disappear into the future with their profits and their discretionary PF, if things go wrong and leave us to pick up the pieces
