Mine's been paid. The 1st of the month is the day I don't post any glass-half-empty doom and gloom, no whinging about rubbish updates, no worrying about being stuck with crappy looking loans that I can't shift. The 1st of the month is the day to worship SS and give thanks to the platform ...then maybe whinge a bit about how there's so little actually worth buying on the SM... I guess the stuff that lingers on SM is generally . If it wasn't then people would either buy it up or hold it. I've got a lot of that still in my portfolio, but as mentioned I won't dwell on that fact today, I'll be happy with the tidy little sum I just got paid in interest.

I guess the stuff that lingers on SM is generally . If it wasn't then people would either buy it up or hold it. Another possibility is that the loan is huge. Investors already have as much as they want to hold, so they're not buying. And when people decide they want to sell something ISTM that it would be natural for them choose their largest holdings to sell down from. I expect that's a major factor with PBL073 (£4.6M) and PBL136 (£5.6M).

Seems this month's interest run has started early this morning My first month, when is interest rub usually paid/completed by? Never really timed it before, it usually runs quite quickly, and I can't recollect it ever stalling. You can watch them pop into your transactions dated 30/11/16 (in today's case). It's finished now (at least for me). In Edit: received the interest rate email timed at 7:34, so around half an hour for the run.

My interest is there when I looked, a request to withdraw it has been made, e-mail confirmed. Going to sit in a bank account earning next to nothing until something turns up.

Sometimes if you add funds late at night your own bank doesn't actually transfer until next day and that can be too late to catch the SS daily update early on the same day? My update on the SS account this morning was done quite early, not sure exactly when.

Might depend on which bank you use - SS use Barclays.
I do know that bank to bank is instantaneous between Lloyds and Halifax (for example) or Lloyds to Lloyds of course, because they are one and the same, the websites are clones too. But bank to bank in different groups can take an hour or so, maybe much longer overnight if they are updating everything.
My transfers into MT typically take a few minutes only, sometimes only seconds.

One, really-quite-annoying, quirk of SS is no matter when they pay the interest, it'll always be too late for the morning withdrawal processing run... Interestingly, I made a withdrawal at around 9.30 am on Tuesday, and it was in my bank at 9.51 am same day.... had to pinch myself.

I have Santander - always pretty sharp withdrawals from SS as long as I do it before 7am, always speedy both ways in working hours FS/MT/Col. What is annoying is having no response to emails (just sent another) where there is a concern of a transfer going missing - does not reflect well on their assurances of improvement with their new CS team. Today's payment run was done around 6:55 am so you may need to make a withdrawal request / deposit earlier to ensure a same day transfer

Well my payments from Collateral and Moneything both arrived yesterday morning a couple of minutes after I requested them. Still waiting for savingstream's to arrive. I have to conclude that, for income seekers, they are effectively paying interest on the 2nd (hopefully!) of each month. My withdraw of interest arrived sometime this morning, requested on the 1st Dec. Still waiting on the bank to add interest for a Regular saver account due on the 1st Dec, and now says interest is due on the 31st Dec, and the new regular saver account I opened hasn't appeared either. Deposit to money thing, sent done and processed, got interest added. SS don't have the monopoly on getting things wrong/late.

We await the Saving Stream flow of interest, a bit like Christmas Day presents, every first day of the month...
