A much more balanced article than the ludicrous, scaremongering hatchet-job he wrote about SS. I suspect some of those continually screaming blue murder about their overdue property loans may be disappointed that it helps FC more than it hurts them.

I can't comment about FC because they don't take expats, and actually I haven't read the article, but the day I discovered that SS had undisclosed equity investment in the borrower for PBL20 I departed; they deserve a good hatcheting for that.

I am not a subscriber but it came up OK the first time. I guess one is only given a limited views before you need to pay. I have lost the full text now. It seems a fair article actually - about the right level of criticism with some perspective. The Newquay client is named. Two free views per week if you register.

Yeah, Newquay seems to have paid up. Though, somehow, I seem to have lost money on the deal ie my net FC balance went down after the capital was returned and the interest paid. Has anybody else seen anything anomalous?

Has anybody else seen anything anomalous? No, which is just as well because I had 6 figures, a comma and a decimal point tied up in it - well it was a 2% cashback! Just need to keep an eye out for the extra interest. Did they slip a sneaky loss in at the same time? Have you checked your transaction statement?

Additional interest (about 10%) credited with no sign of any servicing fee. Thank you FC.

Additional interest (about 10%) credited with no sign of any servicing fee. Thank you FC. A servicing fee would be right cheek when you get no interest on the delayed interest payments. There would be the last scheduled fee as one twelfth of 1% on the whole of the outstanding principal. After that, when the additional interest was paid, there would be no outstanding principal on which to levy a fee. If there was a fee there would be one for every month late, which might result in some criticism. There are some times when the inadequacy of FC systems (to take a fee) provides a little consolation for the delayed payments and loss of liquidity.

Thanks guff, mine's bumped up now, I must have checked mid-processing run or something.

Hor1997 has been awfully quiet of late. I was expecting him to have posted on how this loan having been paid with additional interest is simply unacceptable.

Yes, I have often wondered if FC applied to itself for a loan what banding the computer would give it? I suspect the computer system would stall, and then implode, if FC applied to itself for a loan. It probably didn't end up on the original specifications
