I am face blind and it can be very embarrassing! When I meet people I have to explain that if I meet them again, even if they leave the room and come back, I won't recognise them and they will have to remind me who they are. For the record, I scored 47% on that test.

I don't know......but you could try to yes me Every day Mary Ann Sieghart blanks friends and colleagues in the street - some people think she is the rudest woman they know. She has prosopagnosia, more commonly known as face blindness. Heres the programm www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04cgdhrThanks skippyonspeed . I tried to put the title right but it wont change. skippyonspeed. Update, with thank you to @star dust I have now managed to change the title from the "Do I no you?" to the correct "Do I know you?". markr Avatar Oct 28, 2016 17:49:05 GMT 1 markr said: I am face blind and it can be very embarrassing! Thanks skippyonspeed . I tried to put the title right but it wont change. If you want to change a thread title you have created, go to the first post in the thread, select 'edit' second option top right - in the top left you will see Subject and a box next to it with the title of your thread in it. From this position you can edit the text of the title, select 'save changes' bottom right afterwards and it should be done. .

79% for me. However, It took a lot longer to identify faces near the end.
If you asked me to put names to faces I'd be lost. If I don't see someone for a week or so I probably wouldn't be able to name them.

I thought that I would be really bad at this and was surprised to score 93%

I bet if it was the woman of your dreams you'd remember!!!! Funnily enough, when I first started dating my partner she'd pick me up at her local station, and for the first half-dozen or so times, I'd only know her because I'd memorised her car reg number and she always stood by it waiting for me! mnm, I'll definitely listen to the programme, thanks.

I scored 90. The human body is an incredible thing. Some years ago I had cancer. Spent 1 month in intensive care (almost died twice). Left hospital after 13 weeks. Couldnt walk. Crawled around the house. The body was gaga. The brain was gaga. The first time I went to ASDA didnt know how to put the £1 in the trolley. adriancI got part way through the Birkbeck test, and frankly got bored. It does go on a bit... Same here, but for reasons below I continued. My face recognition was very poor. Couldnt recognise most people. markr. I understand as best as I ever will what you cope with. The phrase “You dont know what youve got until its gone” was only truly appreciated by me after such an experience. The test for me acted as a marker. I hope you get something from the programme after hearing it

The programme was fascinating, thanks for the link mnm. I wasn't aware of anyone in the public eye with the condition so it was interesting hearing the "celebs" talking about it.

I'm not even allowed to try the test. They must know that I will either get 100% or an extreemeeely low mark.
