Never mind the 504’s etc., can anyone actually log into the site?

Was working fine until 16:32. Now it has slowed to a crawl. Refreshes are taking 20 seconds and even then some images are not updated.

Yes........ oh..... NO!! I sent a stern question the other day regarding why the two loans (including the A+ £500K) were scheduled to finish at the same SECOND! I've had two automated "we are busy we are working" etc replies but now they appear to have done it again. The morons TAKE NO NOTICE. aahhh .... I'm in...Ah.... 502.

Today there were two at 11:54 and another two due at 17:04, another two tomorrow at 14:35. There's bound to be more simultaneous finishes. You would hope that they would fill all the 5 minute slots before doubling up. John

The 5 minute spacing is just for rejected whole loans which are always listed as a big heap, but with end times spaced. New partials still seem to be random. .. Aka 'oh dear'.
Not sure 5 mins is enough anyway, for big or hectic auctions. Seems to take a couple of minutes after the close before the numbers even stop moving, then there is presumably some post auction cleanup to do.
Looking at the numbers, these auctions hit 100x the normal bidrate IN THE LAST HALF HOUR (I don't really dare measure it in the last few minutes, since measuring would just add to load).
No wonder Fully Complacent close them an hour or two early given half a chance. I suggest something needs to be done to de-incentivise last minute bidding... I guess random early closes many help a bit, but there are lots of other possibilities.

And two more today at 17:33.
Incidentally, my hobby horse "ALL businesses have healthy Experian Credit scores" has now disappeared at last from the site. So have the three pertinent questions about the businesses, which FC have decided might upset the prospective borrowers. So has the bit about "all businesses have an annual turnover of at least £100,000". At least three this afternoon are well under. One of then has even dropped from £130K 2013 to £80K turnover 2014, and has still been offered a loan. C- indeed! FC are too "non-transparent" to use D, but this should be E-!!

I suspect you have to be very brave to buy and (and) hold a C- at all. 502s and just accessing the site today to see what is coming through have been a nightmare. If this gets much worse, I'll focus on the moribund AC and the sparkly FS, at least you know a bid will work there and access is easy. I see one auction was closed early over the weekend, not spotted that before.

Rather than put the whole dialogue on display here, I will PM it to anyone who wants to give it the time of day ..... or even night. OldG

Yeah, go on, I'll bite - PM it to me. I'm always ready for a laugh .. maybe they schedule auction ends using Fantasy Clocks and Calendars? . 8>.
I had 502's every time I went to bid around 5pm, although everything else seemed OK, but logging out and back in (and maybe I cleared cookies? Hard to recall) solved the problem. Still, the site is going down at 10PM tonight, when the Gateways are probably going to be swapped for Compaqs (you have to be a certain age .. maybe 'stiles' works better?).
In response to bobo, yep C-s now look like poor value compared to everything else out there. If they'd up the maximum bid rate past 15%, then maybe that'd change .. other platforms offer 18% or 20% on loans which appear to be rather more rock solid than FCs C-s. I still wouldn't plan on holding one to term though, although to be fair there is not much significant default data yet.

Thank you for that... I think.

The auction page for 10351 seems to have locked up with 30m still to go O.o . That's cos the borrower has accepted the rate. (Ah got my little bit of 9.8% A+)

I suspect you have to be very brave to buy and (and) hold a C- at all. Excluding property loans my current risk spread is A+ 30%, A 33%, B 21%, C 12% and C- 4% Some of the C- loans look better than some C or even B loans. Of course I can only see what FC publishes so I assume that there are hidden risks and I treat these loans with the respect they deserve. John
