I would also suggest an SM which works on the basis that the selling loan part is repaid and the purchased loan part is a new mini loan as I believe this also avoids taxation complications. Hi ilmoro. Thank you. Given your expertise, would you mind testing the beta version of the secondary market once it becomes available? Hi Filip. Happy to act as a tester if it would help but cant claim any special expertise other than knowledge picked up from experience of using platforms and picked up from this forum, usually from those who are more knowledgable than myself (especially regards tax rules)

I think you should reconsider your model - such long delays for activating loans will be factored by investors. Don't you see what other platforms do? Interest accrue from day of investing. More than a month waiting is not acceptable.

We have done all we can do to complete as quickly as possible, but unfortunately there some things that are outside our control, such in this case. We will look to start the legals on the next loans in a earlier stage to speed up the completion process.

I don't doubt your efforts. What I mean is explore the possibility of doing it the other way round - do the work and THEN put the loan of the platform. I am sure that you'll fill the loans much quicker if lenders know they are paid interest from day one. Somehow other platforms do not have such problems.

Unfortunately, we could not offer interest from day one as it would require loans to be pre-funded. We cannot pre-fund loans pursuant to our FCA permission. However, it may be possible to earn interest from day one once our secondary market is live, expected next month.

For those who might not get it or havent noticed, there have been some updates today including the addition of a Q&A and Update tab for each loan, both welcome. @filipkaradaghi would be better if Q&A was available throughout the life of the loan rather than just during funding (seems to be closed on exisiting loans) as lenders may have queries on progress/ins response to updates.
However, there has also been the addition of an investments tab which shows funds commited & by who and the names arent redacted. You can be anonymous by ticking the box under Account > Settings.

Hi ilmoro. Glad to hear that you like the new features. I am bit sceptical making the Q&A available after loan closing (loan updates will still be populated with relevant updates) as the main purpose with the Q&A function is to enable lenders to ask questions to assist them in making investment decisions. Hope that it makes sense. We're working on the secondary market and will shortly release the proposed structure for feedback and comments.

A permanent Q&A will allow new users to make investment decisions on the prospective secondary market. That is exactly how I used it on Assetz Capital and it proved invaluable in increasing my exposure to the platform.

Good point and perhaps we will re-consider our initial thoughts.

Good point and perhaps we will re-consider our initial thoughts. The other point is, as you might have noticed, that the questions are going to get asked anyway, so is it better to have them & the answers displayed on site for all lenders or on here/private email. The latter will probaby result in multiple similar questions for your support to handle and a restricted knowledge base amongst your lenders.
