oldgrumpy - Queues introduce all manner of issues when APIs, automated investment accounts, and bots are thrown into the mix. Were we operating a queue then our investment accounts would beat you every single time as they're plumbed directly into the database and trigger whenever there's any change to the publicly visible data on a loan. Large investors could also jam up the queue whilst their large holdings are sold with no distribution at all to smaller investors.
