So I've been at this about 3 months and have 10 accounts in different Euro platforms an 4 UK ones since I like in Euroland now but still have money in the UK. I have a roughly equal stake in each to diversify and test them out a bit. I will probably reduce the number later once I make enough interest to cover the total loss of one of them (6 months by my calculation).
At the moment though, I check them all about 3 times a day and produce all sorts of spreadsheets replicating platform returns calculations and learning exactly how each works. I'm hoping at some point I will lose interest a bit and check do a weekly check on the hands-off ones and just log in to catch loans on the manual ones. Was anyone else like this when they started? How long did the novelty take to wear off?

My interest is now far greater then years ago I ended up starting a p2p blog, and well let's say that is time consuming, but big fun. And I still check most platforms daily or more often

I'm addicted too! But luckily this addiction has the potential to make money.
I think there are lots of addicts on this forum, but I haven't seen anybody asking about a P2P Twelve Step Programme.
Looks like you're in good company.

p2p is probably only about 10/15% of my investments but I spend far more time on them then I do any other type.

Just updated my spreadsheet.
Aaah, that feels good.
Might need to update it again later today. Just like I have every day for the past 5 years.
Of course, I could walk away from it if I wanted to. Sure.

Looks like you're in good company. I think the majority of users on this forum are self confessed addicts rather than just lots.
I think I remember a twelve step programme appearing on the old Zopa forum but haven't seen one here.
Just hang around and enjoy the ride, as moneymagnet says at least it has the potential to make money unlike all of my other addictions

Sure. Haha. But there's that anxiety that builds and builds if nothing has happened since you last checked.

Just before Christmas my spreadsheet became corrupted.
It covered every month of every P2P and forecasted investments return for the next 5 years (and previous 18 months). All sorted.
Then, one day, it died.
I felt like I had lost a part of my soul which I could never get back.
I have a new one now, it is not the same as old "Spready" as it only started in December. Maybe, just maybe I will learn to love him as much as Spready. I doubt it though...
