They did use to allow about 5 days or so for deposits to arrive after a deposit request, but 358 is a bit generous!

Interesting thread developing on the TC internal forum about historic errors in the TC customer accounts being uncovered and users being asked to repay sums up to almost £3K.

Oh Dear, interesting Thread, just when I'm pulling out of SS and Others and looking for new homes. I've already bunged cash into Funds (Fundsmith et al) and seems that's the only place left to go, even though Funds generally are at an all time high. Still, it's a nice position to be in of course, having cash to spare and agonising on where to stuff it.

ozboy TC's controls have been improved since the new management took over. They have been doing full daily reconciliations as required by the FCA since the middle of last year, so any newcomer should not have this issue. They have been catching up with the historical backlog, reconciling all accounts to the day of opening, which has turned up some errors. AFAICS most of them result from manual processes that don't happen any more. TC won't suit everybody but if you are a large investor, like reading IPs, and have a reasonable understanding of them you should give it a look.
