#8010286828 has updates on 16 & 30 Apr: 16/04/2018: We have had confirmation that the loan offer has been finalised and that refinance should take place this week. In the meantime we have briefed our receivers in case we need to go to receivership. 30/04/2018:Borrower is meeting his solicitor today to sign loan documents. We are therefore expecting repayment in the next day or so. Fair dinkum..my oversight but welcome nonetheless..now lets see...'a day or so'...

Sadly, on every previous update, the borrower has promised something that ultimately didn't happen. Why, on this occasion, should we believe him? Did he really go to his solicitor and sign the required paperwork? Who knows? Not us.

The above is very fuzzy and pretty meangingless - what loan documents - application, agreement in principle, or what?
so doubtless signed and money on its way to FS or maybe not?
I have a funny feeling this one won't be wrapped up tomorrow (Friday) as we were told or I am just an old cynical git...

Lies, damned lies, and FS updates.
Like naughty children they follow every lie with an even bigger lie.

FS very quiet on this loan for the last 2 weeks... On 30/04/2018 they said they were “expecting repayment in the next day or so”. After dropping a lie like that they’ve now gone silent. Lies and deceit are the worst part of p2p. Platforms routinely drop lies as updates which makes us all out to be mugs. Which other form of “business” routinely lies to their customers?

'... the refinance will take place this week'. That'll be tomorrow then?
Yeah right.

Yet another broken promise. On 16th March, FS had stated "We have advised them that, if unpaid by 29 March 2018, we will default the loan." How long more will fundingsecure wait before defaulting?

Well, the 6-month powerboat loan is now in its 766th day and it still hasn't defaulted. Sadly for us lenders, they have no idea what they are doing!

Last two updates, latest posted today...
Borrower's solicitor has now contacted our solicitors requesting a redemption statement.
17/05/2018
We spoke with the borrower yesterday who has advised that his solicitors are due to be in touch with ours and that the refinance will take place this week. Clearly we have been let down with unmet dates in the past. The borrower knows we are close to appointing receivers (who have already been primed). We have seen a copy of the loan offer - although cannot vouch for its authenticity. Our preference, for everyone, is to take the refinance package but we will not wait for ever.

Update: We have seen very little progress this week on the refinance. Based on feedback already obtained from our receivers, we believe we can make a full recovery - even with the added time and cost to go through the process. We have therefore decided to default the loan and appoint receivers.
I think that's good news. Shame it didn't happen earlier though. Now we await the tenant with a host of problems and reasons they can't be evicted....
