However, any amount that you choose not to claim will be lost. ..... Totally understood on my part and why I was referring to judgment calls earlier. The other point that readers will have to get their heads around is that when 17/18 tax statements are issued an adjustment of 'recovered' will have to be made and noted with the return if this approach is taken. I have also found this discussion very useful!
