Which ones would the more experienced forum members recommend? I think my ideal approach now is just to park relatively modest amounts of cash in a variety of fixed term loans and hold through until completion - some platforms look very complex if swapping around before the term is up. As they come to term, I'll draw out some interest and/or capital as appropriate and reinvest the rest.
Have you looked at LendInvest? the higher rates sell out quickly but lower rates are secured on loans at sometimes very low LTV's. They have yet to lose any investor money (their claim).
WiseAlpha have an interesting offer too imo, corporate bonds paying anything up to 8% over the next 2-4yrs. Coupon payments every 6 months which can be reinvested.
I have a little invested in both of the above, so far so good..
wiseAlpha have just launched a 1 year wiseAlpha bond paying 8.00%: Link

That's the third. Since the one you mentioned in earlier post, a second was issued which was swallowed up in a few days.

Just received an email from wiseAlpha saying: "WiseAlpha 8% Investment Bond – closing today! We will take final requests today in the event that the remaining amount of the bond on the market is sold out.
We anticipate the wider bond programme to start in a few months following this introductory offer.

issued by WiseAlpha Investment Limited, a company incorporated

Hi Ozboy,
The offering we believe is interesting because investors can get exposure to senior secured debt of large corporates and earn an 8% return over a short period which is at the upper end of the yields available on the segment of the bond market we focus on. Since we are effectively going to be using the bond funds to invest in the bonds on the platform, investors are effectively taking similar risk to a portfolio of bonds on our site. Given the yields on retail corporate bond funds are between 2.5-3.5% currently the 8.0% rate is interesting for those who like getting exposure to large company debt which is less risky than lending to small unsecured business lending and other P2P alternatives. We also have a number of equity investors who are part of the crowd and who are our platform investors and who would like to see our business a success because we are making one of the best asset classes available to every day investors and I suppose people like that we are doing that and want to support us while also making money from the product.
We wouldn't recommend anyone remortgage their house for any single investment but for those who want to get a good short-term return we think that is why it was so popular.
If you have any questions about our product we are happy to speak with you.
Kind regards,
The WiseAlpha team

Hi Keystone,
We plan to launch a wider bond programme with 1, 3 and 5 year rates later in the year (so probably not by April) but we do have more individual company specific bonds (with coupons between 5-8%) coming over the next two weeks. Iceland is available at the moment. But we will be adding New day 7.375% bonds soon, more Pizza Express, Garfunkelux as well as Travelodge as well.
Kind regards,
Rezaah
