If anyone is interested, Growth Street are offering a £100 bung for new investors until April Fools Day when you commit £1000 for a year. You get 6.5%. Nothing for a referrer it seems, but I'll tell you anyway!

Nothing for a referrer it seems, but I'll tell you anyway! Not fully accurate. The offer is £100 bung for anyone who is referred and commits £1000 for a year. What you missed was if you are referred by an existing member and commit £1000 for a year you BOTH get £100. I discussed this with GS today and it seems some people have referred many people and are in line for several hundred in bonuses 😊

Well I can only dream of that.
(And the email they sent me said nothing about referrer bungs)

Perhaps the influx of new lenders explains why it took nearly a week for my funds to get reinvested after my initial deposit rolled over. It doesn't worry me too much as far as my opening £1000 is concerned, because the £100 cashback guarantees me a decent return anyway - as long as their provision fund holds up - but the cash drag on rollovers certainly doesn't encourage me to add further funds.

I joined at the beginning of January, my account is set to reinvest at market rate (6.5%) and is currently running at 6.14% XIRR.
Not sure if opting for the priority rate (6.4%) would improve the return.

Just checked my personalised referral link terms and yes, it does say that BOTH get £100 at the end of the year, plus they also get £100 as welcome Bonus, so in theory if you get referred, after a year you get £200 £100 for investing £1000 + £60 or whereabouts in interest. If anyone cares to give it a go, I am happy to pass my link (who wouldn't be! lol)
It does say it runs till 1st April, but this has now been extended at least 4 times, so I would not be surprised if another extension is to follow shortly...

In regards to re-investment speed, I will be able to tell you in 6 days when my current loan pays out. In the past it never took longer than 24 hours... maybe it is slower now!

Aye, wouldn't surprise me to see it extended again. Appears they've gained another 100 or so active lenders recently but still not exactly huge numbers at only 467 currently. Perhaps the influx of new lenders explains why it took nearly a week for my funds to get reinvested after my initial deposit rolled over. On 2 chunks of a few hundred repaid on the same day last week one was lent out within 2 days and the other 4 days (including the weekend). This is at 6.5%. Hadn't seen this before but they have stats - www.growthstreet.co.uk/lend-order-statistics

Sounds too generous to be true! To be honest, I am not sure anymore after reading it again... It seems like the friend just gets the "welcome" bonus, not in addition to a welcome bonus. It did sound a bit too good to be true It says that both will get £100, but in a small print it says £100 for the referrer and £100 welcome for new user.

Even then £200 bonus for only £1000 invested is good for investors but not so good for Growth Street as it only encourges a lot of smaller lenders, rather then having it aimed at bigger lenders.
