I am not so sure I would be that interested in it, with the way investments are would far to long to get the max amount in if I decided to go for it, would probably take all year.

to be fair i think thats the nature of P2P, i have a flexi isa so my plan would be to split that cash between several platforms. it would be nice if the P2P sites all did flexi isa's so that cash could be moved in and out as needed (within the same tax year).

Nush. A flexi ISA is a good idea but this platform do not have a secondary market so one would only get a single round of funding in within a tax year in general.
For a double loan funding in a year the platform would need to introduce a secondary market or a series of 4 or 5 month loans starting October to mature b4 tax year end. This is to allow movement back off platform to refill the isa at tax year end. Good suggestion though and I would be happy to have the full amount on here drip fed in 3k tranches with a bit of playing with max bid settings. Specially good if they get more of the business type loans that have just gone through and market the pre auction loan model more widely and forcefully. Possible source for the loans less than 6 months mentioned earlier.
Just random suggestions Rito and Ashwin, as is normal from me, for you to mull upon. Pm me for i.d. to discuss please. S

After the last 2 days of activity I am not so sure the previous pists concerns, if the loan origination and size becomes the norm.
It may have been the result of people withdrawing cash to place back in their isa wrapper for year end.
Would be interesting to know just what the lender cash balance was in total before the big loans went through.
Ashwin, Rito suggestion if introducing massive loans that are going to clear the accounts of investable cash please send a message to account holders. Gives them an opportunity to move money and improves your chance of filling the loans. What do you think? Could you indicate if the actions, in terms of size of loans brought to lenders, is likely to continue? Were these last 4 loans as a result of a campaign you ran?

As you say, would be good to hear from unbolted on some of their plans/pipeline, as would definitely like to put more funds their way if I thought this sort of throughput would continue.

messaged unbolted today and yes they do plan to offer an isa OK, resurrecting an antique thread here, but does anyone have any thoughts as to WHEN then might plan to offer this beast - any particular tax year (or decade?). I concur with the earlier comments though, that unless the business grows, an Unbolted ISA is about as attractive as a "5% savings account" which only lets you put in £250 a month.

Most days l can only get £15 invested in new loans, more or less averages out 3 loans of £5 = £15. Thats on a good day.
I don't believe a isa is realistic.

I have managed to get nearly £20000 dripped in over the last 9 months so perfect ISA territory. Could really do with the tax relief.

Is a big wedge of that in the arguably riskier Bespoke Loans IFISAcava? (ie not in the Protected Provision Trust and/or Gold Trust Loans).
Just interested to know.

I have a few larger tranches in unprotected loans, max £500 per loan, prob 15% of total. 353 loans in total. Mean loan size £49.66 (but it's skewed; median is £16.10)

The problem is with year two and later where repaid loans tend to keep pace with (or even overtake) new loans. I would be very surprised if you managed the same in your second year unless you started taking big chunks of the unprotected loans.

I fail to see why it should be worse in year 2 onwards. Given a level stream of borrowers & lenders then whatever you have got invested after 6 months should be roughly maintained.
The fact that a number of people who have been lending here since the early days are reporting dropping levels of investment has nothing whatsoever to do with the length of time they have been on the platform, but everything to do with the number/cash value of borrowers/lenders.
