This'd tie in with Assetz needing to pull people in with a 0.5% premium. There has been a net deposit of cash onto AC every week for the past 20 weeks (at least, that's as far back as I looked). So there's no mass withdrawal of cash to cover just growth plans. chris what is the explanation then for this surge of secondary market availability if not an institutional or HNW investor pulling money out?

Haven't looked into it, but at a guess it would be various larger holders of loan units (such as the access accounts) rebalancing their holdings due to increased deal flow coming through.

How about this possible explanation... Investment levels are going up, but the portfolio size is increasing at an even faster rate. i.e. new loans are being added to the platform faster than funds are (via deposits and loan repayments). The offer of higher interest on new 30DAA funds is an indication to me that AC are trying to encourage more investment in the platform. ISTM that it should be pretty obvious that a platform can't really grow their loan book without a corresponding increase in investors' funds.

The 30DAA promotion is part of a longer term strategy to bring in more lenders and more lender funds so that we can continue to accelerate the growth of the loan book.

I've re-balanced my lower rate p2p allocation by relocating a third of my RS funds to AC on that day. A drop in the ocean, but I'm sure this promotion will attract substantial funds from the existing and new customers. I won't be surprised if many "rejects" from BM will relocate their funds to AC if Great and Green accounts keep offering 7% covered by PF.

Large number of loans available on SM but none to buy apparently over the past 12 hours. Has the algorithm been put to sleep for a while, chris ? My buy orders on loans with availability just sit there, and (from the MLIA report) nothing is happening.

That part of the system is due a rewrite in a couple of months so I'll be looking to improve it in various ways.

Could this also be the reason for interest payment issue?
Yesterday and today I have noticed missing accrued interest.

It might be coincidental, but the system appears to get slower every time AC launch new accounts.
