The trading in other family members could lead to problems for them if the operator is not taking care of tax, tax credits, benefits as not declaring earnings is likely to end in fines or imprisonment. With the advent of the new joint information trawl that hmrc inspectors can now do it is a high risk strategy. Hmrc now have access to records from 100 new jurisdictions to cross check.
