From previous discussion, I'd hoped transfers would be up and running by now. Any update ablrate ?

Credit is due for the IFISA process to date, for those of us who do not transfer in. We here had two normal accounts, larger than the ISA allowance, and wished to move the allowable max for 17/18 into two additional ISA accounts. I have to say that the system and arrangements provided have been excellent, and it was easy with just a few £k of available funds to sell and buy chunks of loans through the SM. All easy and all worked perfectly every time. Particularly good was the facility to move the available funds from one account to the other without involving the Ablrate admin. I was almost as if someone had considered the position of such lenders and designed a system for them with would do the job easily and efficiently, without involving Ablrate staff in the process. Well done on this one.
ps. And the FC IFISA? Apparently the time is not quite right yet. So, no contest. When they do, their market activity will increase the general awareness of p2p IFISA's, which should allow Ablrate to catch some of that new interest, looking for better rates and lower fees.

If you have opened an IFISA with us you can click the link 'Request a Transfer-in' and it will take you through the process. Our administrators handle everything for you.

thank you abl for the ifisa transfer in opportunity! what is the process to transfer in? do i have to let the other provider know my intention? i am with hsbc. I have just initiated an ISA transfer. It seemed pretty straightforward to me. You drive the whole process from the Ablrate end: 1. Open an Ablrate ISA if you don't already have one. 2. On the ISA account overview page, near the big 'pay by card' button click on the small blue text " [Request a Transfer In]" 3. It asks you all the questions you would expect about the type of transfer (all or part transfer, this year or previous years etc). 4. From the answers, it generates a form that you need to print off, sign, and post to Ablrate.

thanks. i am keen to try to transfer in a small amount first. is there a charge for each transfer? I don't use isa's but I did look for you, it is 6.3 of the ISA T&C. I have not read hsbc though. Toast above has provided the faq for minimum that you can transfer in.
