After reading this forum I decided to join up with Growth Street.
I have to say that the initiation process was very thorough and I was required for the first time to submit a scan of my passport. This was promptly approved and then I was invited to log in to the website. Upon my first login attempt I was asked to enter a verification code that was sent to my mobile phone to confirm that my phone and bank account details were legit. I found it very reassuring that they are so thorough and professional with the joining up process and hopefully this helps eliminate the cheaters who try to run multiple accounts in other people's names.
By the time I had finished all of this it was too late for a deposit today so I will be making my first deposit and going for 6.4% from tomorrow.
My only complaint is that every time I log in to the website or go to a different page I get an irritating pop-up message from someone called Freddie asking if they can help me. I would prefer not to have such pop-ups appearing in the bottom right of my screen but I can live with that.

Clearly they have spared no expense in getting Freddie thoroughly trained by Microsoft's paperclip. I did try asking it a question because it looked like an instant chat facility. Only then did it admit that no one was available to help.
