I also suspect the deposit may not have even been forfeited by the buyer. There appears to be some issue with the Lowestoft security, if there was a misrep in the auction particulars all bets are off. Are you suggesting Lendy are lying...?
"Unfortunately the buyer pulled out of the sale as he was unable to raise sufficient sums. As a result, the security property has been re-listed into auction for December 2018"

Fortunately I'm not in this loan as it looks like it's turning out to be a disaster but could somebody confirm something to me.. The property (PBL179) sold for £400k gross but only £180k (17% of the loan amount) returned to investors last month, so the cost in fees was more than 50% of the sale value? Ouch...

With hand on heart I would say that no loan update issued for PBL178 by Lendy has had a scintilla of truth within it. For months lenders were repeated assured that solicitors for the borrower were just tidying up a few loose ends and that in the unlikely event all fell through that the borrower/receivers would auction the property to repay the loan. The property finally went to auction and then was withdrawn. Who by? Why? No-one sees fit to explain. What a b****** muddle. This stupid mess just rumbles on. Never believe a word of Lendy speak. They simply pass on to lenders whatever (garbage) borrowers feed them if this loan is anything to go by. As for the original valuation. Pie in the sky? Haircut? Scalping more likely! "Secured" loan. Well it is fixed to the ground I suppose.

I'm willing to take a calculated risk & have done for many years in business and investing however, this is the first time I've felt "ripped off' a loss of 83% capital in real terms for me that is £3600. The provision fund is no more of course. Lendy should have compensated with 100% of their fee at least. This should be shown as an example of how bad this comapny really is. This sorry tale is Trust Pilot bound.

The provision fund is no more? Is it officially empty? I believe there are unfortunately many more huge capital losses yet to be dished out to us investors by LY. We haven’t seen the worst of it yet, in my opinion.

The provision fund is no more? It paid out on DFL025 last week.
