It would take an enormous amount of self-trading to take this figure over your annual CGT allowance. Then also consider you are likely to incur some losses inside your IFISA. These losses should also be used to reduce any CGT net gains. I'm definitely just a layman and no expert, but I'd be very surprised if losses incurred within a tax-free wrapper could be used to offset tax incurred outside that wrapper. Also, part of the problem with self-trading at non-market prices is that it allows an investor to move more assets into their IFISA than they could otherwise, especially if the process is repeated multiple times. I'd expect HMRC to take a very dim view of such activity.

I've just seen someone sell a loan part for -1.00% while the next cheapest part in the same loan was +0.10%.
Clearly the new restrictions aren't stopping people from gaming the system, but they are preventing legitimate sales at higher premiums.

Before P2P, savers put a guinea in a piggy bank, now they smash the banks to become guinea pigs.

I wish more people would try it, then we could grab some bargains. I managed to grab one at 4% discount, before the new rule.

I meant to list a part @ 3% premium and mistakenly listen at a 3% discount!!!!! Luckily only lost £200 of it before I realisied.
