As secured property loans are somewhat new I thought I would ask those of you who have been taking advantage of the 2% cash back, what is the ideal size of each unit when it comes to selling? I am fully aware that £20 units are the best on the conventional auctions but thought I would get a view before testing with a larger amount.

People don't even agree that £20s are best normally! I guess it depends how much you plan to buy - unless you like lots of mouse clicking it is probably best to size the units around that .. although I suspect anything much over £100 would be hard to shift (and it depends if you are planning to offer them at a discount, or rely on autobid buyers at par).

As I said on another thread, I buy these property loans in £100 parts to save wear on the trotters and have sold over 40 of them, some at par to autobidders and most at a discount. To sell these loans you have to offer the best rate, and the size of the loan part is very much secondary - though I would not go over £100 personally. I think that the fixed rate makes it simpler for the buyer to judge the best deal. Also the short term (on the ones I buy) limits the problem of being stuck with a large loan part for too long. I will be content to hold to term.

My story of all this week - turn my back - it all happens - come back again - all gone. 6762 -- again there was no pre-notification email from FC on this one. I wish they'd sort that out. For those who registered to be warned when a new one is coming up, it's a bit hit and miss.

Thanks chaps for the advice. My choice would be £100 units as that makes handling a lot easier than £20 ones.
