Can't help thinking this would all have been so much easier with a courtesy heads-up on the change of bank account ahead of time, maybe with an FAQ page - I mean, really guys, could you not foresee this?

Maybe deleting the old Collateral mandate before creating the new one might avoid the extra security checks.

Maybe deleting the old Collateral mandate before creating the new one might avoid the extra security checks. Can't speak for other banks but won't with First Direct. Deleted old one and set up new payment for a whole ten pounds last night but got something like 'unable to send today, would you like it to go tomorrow' which from past experience and discussions with them I've had means it looks like a suspicious payment so we'll delay it while the fraud team have a look but they've gone home for the night so they'll look at it tomorrow.

Bit concerning if Santander can't transfer internally between two accounts swiftly/virtually instantaneously?!!! I'd have thought those of us who use Santander should experience ultra fast transfers?

I deleted the old mandate first before creating the new one (which needed a verification code to proceed). That was fine until I made a payment which then created the Lloyds security alert.

Exactly the same experience with First Direct. PITA, especially as it's the 3rd payment I've sent to the new account.

Afternoon,
The NatWest account is now closed, so please ensure future deposits are made to our new Santander account.
As we no longer have access to the NatWest account we will not be able to help with any payments sent there.
Details of the new account can be seen when you login to your Collateral account in the Cashier/Deposit Funds section.
Please continue to use your Collateral ID as your payment reference so we can identify and process your bank transfers as usual.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
Kind regards,
The Collateral Team

Still getting delays with money sent from First Direct, especially in the evening. They are suggesting that it's a problem with the new COL account rejecting some of the faster payments. Anyone else having difficulties?

Morning jfm, No it won't make any difference which bank you use as long as you use your Collateral reference (five digit or full ref) so we can identify the payments. Many thanks, Gordon

Many thanks, Gordon If this is true, you might want to revisit para 10.3 of your new terms and conditions. "10.3. Before you can make a Lending Commitment you must have cleared funds in the Client Money Account. You can send funds to the Client Money Account by bank transfer only. All funds must be sent from your Nominated Account."
