Last week my projected return was 10.6% gross, 6.4% after bad debt. Zopa have now changed the calculation method and it still shows 10.6% gross, but the projected return is now 7.5%.
Mrs B has gone from 10.1%/6.2% to 10.1%/6.6%
Hope they are correct!

On the Summary Page if you click on the arrow beside the amount in plus you get a drop down with more detail including the rate lent and the projected return. My projected has also suddenly gone up.

Ah I see, it wasn't obvious as I had stylish set those pages as always opened. Interestingly mine is 9.3% / 6.6% and OH is 10.9% / 7.4 I too benefit from an early adopter bonus (.5% though) I wonder why there is such a difference across the books though, i'll monitor it for a while to see how it varies.

Both myself and Mrs B are early adopters with a 0.5% bonus - could it be that they are now including the bonus in the projected rate of return!

Found the original e-mail.
"Your projected return, up to now, was an annualised prediction of your portfolio calculated by looking at the average performance we've seen on all similar loans and portfolios on our platform."
"We've updated this projection to be based on the actual performance of each of your individual loans to date – giving you a more personalised return. So as your portfolio matures, we can revise your projected return based on actual performance data across your portfolio."
So despite my XIRR for 2017 so far being about 3%, Zopa recon the performance of my individual portfolio is above average - so needs to get a lot better once past the 18 month age. I'll drop them an e-mail about early adopter bonus.

I don't think so as my wife's is much higher but she's not an early adopter. She just has different loans to me - I think. Having said that I just noticed that the help ? for the 2Lent to borrowers" says "Your annualised projected return (capital weighted average loan interest rate minus expected principal loss and any fees) as estimated for performing outstanding loans." IIRC the fees are 1% and the bonus are 1% and .5%, I think when zopa started the bonus was classified as a fee reduction I think.

I have big reservation about the projected return. It means nothing to me, since I was expecting a different amount (higher) month after month, even without default.
I guess it is another TECHNICAL issue. No repayments from a number of loans (10+), not registered as missed payment, arrears nor defaults and they are at least 2 months late. The results, much lower return than projected.

Looks like the projected return has reverted to the previous figures.

Up to two months to the first payment is quite possible 1 month plus choice of day of the month for the borrower possibly + draw down from your investment. If they are not first payments or much over 2 months I would ask Zopa. Interest for the additional time will come with the first payment.
