Re: 9899194706 Model Trains and 2356637233 Railwayana Chat with Heather Sim today says " I have spoken with the person in charge of the loans and he said that they will be closing shortly". chunkie : What does "closing" mean? Heather Sim: Yes, sorry, I was just getting some further clarification. Closing means that we are just waiting for funds to clear so that we can complete the loan. chunkie : So, is the loan being repaid or have the items been sold and you are awaiting payment? Heather Sim: let me just double check for you. It has been sold, we are just waiting for funds to clear. A further update with more information will be posted when the loan closes.
U've been smoking too much herbs again or are having a dream if you think this is going to be fully repaid.
These loans have been playing back steadily albeit slowly just before Christmas is a good time to be selling. As They have been paying back with interest I’m not particularly worried I will only have £150 left invested.

Seems the real issue for people invested in this is that the amounts they are being sold for are a fraction of the valuation, as was highlighted a few posts ago. But maybe it's now just gone on too long that even loss-making sales are better than funds locked in indefinitely. But even these loss-making sales seem hard/slow to find! Interesting to see if the recent chat discussion mentioned leads to anything.

Sadly FS have ceased paying attention to this forum, and more than likely to their investors as well, a long time ago.

Sadly FS have ceased paying attention to this forum, and more than likely to their investors as well, a long time ago. They may have ceased responding directly on this forum, likely because years of experience has taught most companies that a direct response when the answer isn't what the person wants to hear only leads to even more negativity. There's no way you can know that they've stopped reading the forum though. Your next assertion that they've likely stopped caring about their investors is ridiculous; FS commission and fees are paid after we've received our capital and interest back. Their own self interest guarantees that they care about securing us the promised return.

Your next assertion that they've likely stopped caring about their investors is ridiculous; FS commission and fees are paid after we've received our capital and interest back. Their own self interest guarantees that they care about securing us the promised return. I have been an investor with FS since its inception. Originally they placed no updates at all on loans. When I had a conversation with them about this, the attitude was "we will have a look at it but we are not sure what you want to know or why you would want to know it" ( I paraphrase it was some years ago). FS have always engaged over technical problems and,in my experience, dealt with them promptly and well. Anything else has been poor communication to the point of disinterest. True I dislike hearing of FS hiding behind bland assertions and some very doubtful statements (powerboat), but I can take bad news. What I dislike is prolonged and inappropriate forbearance. I would also add, that if FS are prepared to conduct themselves like this there may probably be quite a number of other "situations" that could emerge if or when we hit a downturn. The self-interest of FS is best served by too many passive investors, not by FS acting in the best interest of their investors in all cases. FS has done quite well as an investment for me. What I am concerned about is future performance. If that is negativity then so be it.

Todays chat with Evie: Me: Last week Stacy promised an update by Friday of last week! Didn’t get one!
Evie: Good afternoon, one moment please
Evie: Thank you for your patience. We are currently working through the invoices to determine how to allocate the funds to each loan. Once we have done this, an update can be posted to the loan page.
Me: Could you please provide an estimate of the time you need to achieve that?
Evie: Unfortunately I do not have a time frame for this. However we will update investors as soon as we are able to.

3042513260 I'm in this one, more choo choos. A 6 month loan now over two years old and with the last update being back in July promising an imminent dealer visit and then - Nothing 3 months later. Damn, that dealer must be awful busy with his other commitments, the previous reason given for him not showing.
Now promised that they will try and have an update real soon.
I cannot for the life of me think why it could take 18 months to sell these bloody things, unless of course they're putting off yet another whopping great loss on a 50 percent LTV loan of course.
