I notice that this week should, in theory, be a big week for FS property redemption/renewals e.g.
Loan Latest Update (of substance)
C****e (2009494909): Borrower expects to be able to fully refinance by the end of June.
Lo****y (1018041290+various others) Borrower is confident that refinancing will be put in place by the end of the month
P****at Loan (5818112533) Once the banks have completed their due diligence the funds will be transferred - expected by the end of June.
G***s ***n (1541925790) Borrower is in final stages of refinancing - due to complete process by the end of the month
N**** D*** (2119926755) Borrower has confirmed refinancing should be released on Monday - paying loan back.
S***m P****y Renewal (2394714925) We have confirmation from the solicitor that completion date is 28th June.
Land in R***n (1960999217) ....we expect receipt of these funds in the coming week - at which point the loan will be closed down...
There may be more. I genuinely hope it is a big week, but let's see how many actually are redeemed/renewed.
Edit1 (Tuesday): Oh, I found another one, how could I have forgotten Land in R***n!

Wow 6 loans about to be repaid with interest. But I'll believe it when I see it. The site will be awash with cash if all the expected loans do repay.
Anyone care to guess how many or if any of the loans are repaid.

Apologies for a newbie question but why do people talk about loans as anonymised with ***** in their names? eg C****e (2009494909)

Part of forum rules, which are rigidly applied, to protect owners from complaints by platforms. Understandable when a loan first goes live before funding is drawn down as it could lead to poaching. Same at renewal so best if comments semi anonymous.

Apologies for a newbie question but why do people talk about loans as anonymised with ***** in their names? eg C****e (2009494909) Welcome to the Forum woodland . As stub8535 has indicated, it's because the Forum Rules do not allow you to "post information, links, attachments, images or any material that allows a borrower, their companies or their assets to be identified, either directly or indirectly". You should have received a copy when you signed up, however, they can also be found here Forum Rules. In a nutshell the Forum does not have or make any money, or have any employees or a legal team, it is independant and run entirely by volunteers. Legal advice 'donated' on it's set up was that to avoid any possible litigation (for which the volunteer forum staff could be personally liable) borrower's should not be identified on the forum. There have been umpteen discussions about this, here are some examples. p2pindependentforum.com/post/152958/threadp2pindependentforum.com/post/143623/threadp2pindependentforum.com/post/131232/threadThus when members are posting about borrower's or their assets they always disguise them with asterisks so that they cannot be easily related to the actual meaning. But care should be taken as sometimes even with asterisks Google will bring the asset or borrower straight up, in general the more asterisks the better, or alternatively just loan or borrower identifiers. Direct quotes from the press or other sources are another one to watch as these too can often lead straight back to the exact source, it is better to paraphrase or use your own words to describe information you have come across.

True bg but say there is a loan on dangerfield mill chipping norton, chipping norton may be ok but dangermouse mill would not without asterisks. This is a made up loan b4 anyone reports it.

A bit silly to mask Lendys borrowers as they are fully visible to unregistered members
As for Carlisle, that should be fine.

Well, just goes to show it works as I'm not an FS investor I hadn't a clue what was being annonymised - sometimes it can be overcooked, but always best to err on the side of caution .

Agree the starring is rather OTT, but I've been put on the naughty step before, so prefer to err on the side of caution and star rather indiscriminately when referencing loans. Edit: Oh, almost exactly as stardust said above. Well, there we are, B***** me.

Agree the starring is rather OTT, but I've been put on the naughty step before I know the feeling, I've also been grabbed by the mods before. What is or isn't allowed is all a bit arbitrary. My crime was to mention the name of a small village in south Devon (which was a no no) whereas mentioning a hotel in Aberystwyth was considered fine. I guess somebody has to take a view on the likelihood of identifying somebody or something. In my case I think there were less houses in the Devon village than there were hotels in the west wales resort, so more likely to identify the property.

So the G********* E***** loan (1841601622) is now 9 days overdue, with not a dicky-bird from FS.
I was aware before I joined FS that they regularly let loans overrun, but this is my first. How long is too long..?
