Whilst I'm not with this platform I thought this article would be of interest to those of you who are.

The platform has decided to focus on HNW and sophisticated investors so does not need p2p authorisation.

Interesting, tho I suppose not entirely surprising given they've never really been proper p2p.

Unfortunately the only word I can use regarding LI is "disappointing". Having had a 6 figure sum with them in December, they have not had the decency to contact me regarding the changes they have made.
As both a SI and HNWI I am surprised at their lack of communication.

I have recently had an email from them about a 5 year bond for 5.25%. If they can raise money at that rate then why bother with us ? www.lendinvest.com/invest/bonds/

I have bought the majority of new issues on the ORB market over the last few years but tended to stick with larger companies issuing bonds and ones where I thought there may be some capital appreciation early on if I want to or need to sell. You don't pay any CGT on any capital gain with ORB listed bonds.

Maybe we will see rates falling down to this level. Anyway I hope they don't spend too much money on advertising (like Wellesley did) as this has to be at the expense of lenders' rates.

It will be costing them a bit more than 5.25 as there will be costs associated with issuing the ORB bond

The majority of ORB market bonds trade above their issue price - be interesting to see what happens with this one. looks like they will run with bond applications being permitted for the full offer period. Thus a closing date of August 4th. If memory serves, I think EROS was the last ORB listing not to close early. With no early closing it could indicate a poor uptake and with institutional and large investors staying shy of the offer. This being the case it does not bode well for an above par value from the outset.

Yes. Just had notification from my broker that my order was met in full and will be placed on my account on the 10th.
Just have to wait and see what pre trading activity there is and any indication to +/- par
