I like it the way it is. Some lenders will buy into tranches they don't hold. If there's only one combined queue you lose the reason why they might buy. I suspect the net effect will be less buying. If all tranches rank equally (as is the case with the Wigan hotel and the Scottish loans under discussion) then there is no advantage in holding one loan tranche over another except for potential queue position. Any lender investing in one tranche over another just because they don't own that particular tranche probably doesn't understand exactly what they are investing in. Hopefully the reason they are investing is because they thing it is a good bet with a reasonable return. With one queue it it more likely that only genuine sellers will list their loan parts rather than those just bagging a place in the queue (like me!).

Agreed. There's barely a few quid been put into the tranches with long queues over the last week, but if you were to put up for sale any parts in the tranches with no queue they would be gone within minutes. Simply because they are liquid and can be sold out of without waiting at the back of the queue. It makes sense on one level, but as you say there's no material difference between the tranches.

I sold some Wigan 9th recently in a few minutes.

Good news. Must be the best offering in P2P at present. It might be except that the 19/07 interest is now late!! There is an update on this loan saying that the interest will continue to be paid on the 19th of each month

Tranche 1 paid yesterday.
I think tranche 2 is 2nd and tranche 3 is 26th.
We really need a next interest due date column on the loans page.

Someone taken £10k in tranche 2 of this today.
Have we had some more good news somewhere?

I think its because there is just a lot of unexpected funds sloshing around for some reason. Now if only MoneyThing could give us some loans to invest it in or better yet pay up the defaulted loans.

Latest update is rather brief. Not enough waffle?
