Pretty much what I was thinking. Some questions need to be raised if that is the case. The same thing happened the other day just prior to a positive update. Then again maybe it was just somebody with a gut feeling. If you're referring to FPAA893, as in your previous post, then it was quite likely myself that bought those loan parts. No inside information, I just quite like the loan and had spare funds from my partially sold Scottish holiday park holdings.

Maybe it is just people being brave, there was some low hanging fruit on a loan that at least seems ready to repay. Not sure I can feel aggrieved personally, I did have some for sale but only what I had picked up over the last few days looking to sell at a slim profit. Indeed if it is an indication that the loan is to be repaid soon, I will be more than happy.

Where did you get that from? Last update I've got is the "waiting for the phone call"

It is the end date was changed on the loans page. Not in an update.

Whoever bought it gets 1 or 2 days worth of interest, i.e. a tiny amount. Not worth the effort of clicking a button really is it? Was it really worth the risk? Unless they have info that the loan is going to be delayed for a much longer time but will definitely repay... this scenario seems unlikely.

It was discounted at 99%; not sure how much it was, perhaps a few thousand. That was worth clicking. However, there are still some people investing a few pounds at par.

So they made a few tens of pounds, if they invested a few thousand then. Depends how risky you think the loan is, it does look like a fairly safe thing atm but hey "better" loans have defaulted.

No worries, I agree with you. Some just like betting.

Update on site. I'm happy with it. Not unhappy....but if you look through the history of this loan the goalposts have moved quite a few times....i’m Not blaming MT for this though. I’m assuming that exit is via this ‘private lender’....perhaps that could be clarified.

Maybe the pre-listing funds could come through faster??

Maybe the pre-listing funds could come through faster?? Does the borrower want that though....that private lender could be charging a fixed fee that works out at a lot more than he is being charged by MT...plus all the associated legal costs etc

It is the end date was changed on the loans page. Not in an update. Ah I see, hadn't spotted that. you'd think an alteration to the end date would have been worth an update? Brian

The law firm chose to take payment after bond got listed/we got repaid because they were confident. The holiday village operator has signed an agreement. The substantial apparent pledges from the finance houses. The offer to buy the whole thing from the established holiday village operator. The funds from the pre-listing financier. All those just make me wonder why people are still selling at a discount. Yes the borrower is all over the place sometimes, but even his/her ditziness can't detract from the quality of the underlying security.
