I bet there won't be much left once the AE loans pay back... Perhaps that is what those two huge whales, lurking just below the yellow flotsam, are really waiting for ... They certainly don't seem to have much direction in their lives at the moment
As long as those whales aren't hungry... not that I'm tasty... all skin and bones...

As long as those whales aren't hungry... not that I'm tasty... all skin and bones... I think they have an insatiable hunger for lots of money, only place I see that coming from in the near future is A & E
I see a few people have recently lobbed a few k at the yellow flotsam, so it is likely it might even make it to the imminent drawdown and the Sunday doldrums may even become history

Here's a wee idea to get not just this loan but any subsequent DFL tranches filled: We all love holidays? Would our Borrower consider offering 1 or 2 weeks free Chalet accommodation for an MT investor during the 1st year after the holiday park opens? 1 winner drawn at random for this initial 1st charge buy out loan and one more for each additional tranche until completion. Minimum investment amount to ensure eligibility but set at a level accessible to the majority. Offer non transferable. pretty good idea

Ed out of interest how does that work ? Say £200,000 is still available on Wednesday, does the borrower accept £200,000 less does MT make up the difference does an underwriter come in do you have friendly BH's available and can we expect on drawdown £200,000 to appear on the SM ? I repeatedly asked this on an earlier loan that drew down before it was filled although it continued to sell as a primarly labelled loan. MT as part of their FCA authorisation no longer prefund loans and told us only that this was being sold by a 'private individual'. All further questions were studiously ignored by MoneyThing as to how this new policy works ie why a private individual sales were being sold as primary market sales, whether they would consider retail SM sales ahead of underwriters etc.

My apologies, I had thought that I answered your question first time round. To save looking up old posts, we do have a number of family & friends as well as lenders who have offered underwriting to us with which we have used once before. If underwriting is utilised, similarly to when we use to pre-fund loans ourselves, this will be repaid first from PM sales before the SM is enabled. Regards, Ed.

Underwrite, drawdown, loan is still on market till fills on PM? Underwrite, drawdown, Underwriters put their amounts on SM? So potentially there could be a large amount still to either n the PM or on the SM?

I'm surprised by how slow this loan is filling up I am surprised this loan is filling up so fast... I'm not. Only 14% left now. I've taken a few more bites of it but I would have been in it bigger were it not for fact I have been piling cash into COL. 13% and over a year to run sounds like a recipe for success and high liquidity to me. I'm expecting MT to reduce back to their usual 12% on new loans, after responding to the COL specials, so 13%ers could become highly sought after over the coming months.
