Ho Ho Ho Give me £10,000 and I’ll give you 50% returns........
This is the classic scam. FCA sites:-
Search results for "safe regulated investments"
There are no results on the Register for "safe regulated investments" A firm, individual or product might not show up in your search results – this may be because:
the spelling of their name might be different – check this along with the filters you have selected. the firm is not regulated. Find out what the FCA regulates and what the PRA regulates. the firm is providing regulated products or services without the required authorisation, or is knowingly running a scam. We strongly suggest you avoid dealing with unauthorised firms. they are listed on another register - you may want to try searching the Mutuals Register or Regulated Covered Bonds Register
The question is what are you going to do about reporting it, and why don’t the FCA pick up on these rogue sites?

The address is a small bungalow in Ruislip.
Website has no address, phone number, registration/accreditation numbers & looks to be a clone of another financial services website. Scammers rely on greed to net punters & returns of 29% are pie in the sky. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!

Not quite pie in the sky to get 29% return for some investments as I’ve shown before you can buy a flat here for £5000-£8000 with rental of £250-£450 a month rental . Ie. 60-62.5% . As an alternative good for me.

I do not understand what FCA are doing with our taxpayer's money? Why are the scammers not in jail?

Ok, another cash question.
Notice accounts: does anyone know whether banks stop people having eg 90 day account but with perpetual notice to withdraw? I've heard that people do this. How would one set that up anyway? I don't want to log in everyday and set up notice to close.

OK, it's me again.
Has anyone got a clear view of when the best ISA offers appear, annually, for cash or IFISA? If there is a pattern. I have only vaguely paid attention over time as I've often not had the time to think about it.

I can't find that this has been a Topic raised elsewhere before so thought I'd start it. (Mods, of course please merge if so) Given The Valuations Scam surrounding Valuations/LTVs and Property Loans, plus other "indicators" happening within P2P, it's possibly a VERY good time to consider other homes for your hard earned funds. But where to go? If I had off street parking for instance I would definitely buy a Classic Car and at least enjoy driving it every Sunday. But what else? I am not versed in Wine, Whisky, Precious Gems, CryptoCoins, Gold, Carpets, Art, etc, etc, but would happily invest in the learning curve if I thought one or two alternative investments was a reasonable bet. I'd certainly get back into Funds like a shot but they're all quite expensive at the mo and I'd guess we all think there's a market correction coming. Do fellow readers have any ideas on an Alternative Investment/s with reasonable returns? Bank rates suck and inflation is rising so negative "investing" there! Have you ever thought about property crowdfunding? I think, it offers reasonable returns compared to other investment models.

I strongly suspect the new member above will start spamming about a 'realties' website very shortly....

Has anyone found a cash ISA (yes one of those) which pays a higher rate, and isn't "antiquated" (to quote some TP reviews), i.e. where you don't have to put actual identity documents in post, or get a GP to sign photocopies? I recently tried to open one with Oakmore and their photocopy signatory list was very restricted.

I recently tried to open one with Oakmore and their photocopy signatory list was very restricted. I don't recall setting one up with fordmoney being painful. Their rates aren't quite as high as the highest providers but they take transfers in, the non-fixed duration one is flexible, and you can invest new contributions across all of their cash isa products in a tax year (portfolio status or something).
