Unbolted is a new platform to me, so as usual I put a small sum in, and attempt to get some of it back out, as I'd like to discover any gotchas before I put lots of cash in. To withdraw they want a bank statement to prove identity, which I uploaded on Monday. It's still 'being processed'. Are they usually this slow at doing routine admin things?
As an aside I don't understand why platforms are happy you are who you say you are when taking your money, but not when it comes to giving it back.

I did exactly the same when I joined back in June last year, and didn't have to jump through any hoops at all. Since then though I haven't withdrawn anything so perhaps I should re-test.

I made my first withdrawal a week or so ago without the need for this. Could it be viewed as suspicious activity because you deposited and then withdrew again so quickly before you've ever actually invested anything?

No, same deal here and I have quite a few investments now, I think that it may be changed procedure.

Thanks for the warning.
I've just tried to withdraw a token £10 from my own account and my wife's.
My account was opened on Aug 29th and I was asked to provide a bank statement. My wife's account was opened just a month earlier but she didn't need to provide a statement?!

I had a chat with Annabel and she spoke to the manager and Annabel said that they will be in touch when my details have been approved.
I will give it another day or two before I get more assertive.

I requested a withdrawal this afternoon and no mention of verification required, I expect to receive it tomorrow morning. My only other withdrawal was back in Feb.

It looks as though I may be making my first withdrawal from Unbolted sometime next week . So assuming I don’t have to verify my bank details, am I right in thinking that they work in the same way as deposits – i.e. a withdrawal request up to about 6:00 pm will be processed the following banking day Mon- Friday and withdrawals after 6:00 pm on Friday or the weekend will arrive on Tuesday?

Yup. I had a big repayment at 18:05 on Friday, I made a withdrawal request within minutes so I hope to receive it in my bank account on Monday but I may have to wait until Tuesday.

I queried the cutoff time for withdrawals with Unbolted previously and was told midnight. I think 6pm is the cutoff time for deposits.
I generally make my withdrawal requests late in the evening, after the daily activity summary email. An instant withdrawal processing email is received and the money arrives in my account the next banking day, usually by around 11am.

I've made one withdrawal some time ago and didn't have to verify bank details like with Abl, LC, BM and some others.

I've also been asked for a bank statement. I do find it mildly annoying that there is no option to upload a passport or driving licence. Only a bank statement will do. I would have thought knocking up a fake bank statement in photoshop or similar would be easier than a passport which might be why most platforms ask for the latter.
Its also annoying to have to redact most of it. I don't want any platform knowing any details about my finances other than what they need to know.

.... Its also annoying to have to redact most of it. .... If it is a paper statement just fold at the appropriate place so just what is needed is shown and scan. Online just delete everything that isn't needed. Really isn't hard.
