Just to possibly save anyone the same flap as I got myself into this morning. It looks like there's a widespread online banking problem across the HBOS estate.
Rather unhelpfully, the message you receive when logging in is something akin to " you have no online accounts you can access, call the fraud team". I'd have possibly preferred "we've spannered something pretty major, please try later".
edit: The news has probably reached some hapless senior I.T Architect by now -
Manager: " But there weren't meant to be any single points of failure??!!" Architect: "There aren't!!!" Manager: "But there is!" Architect: " But it's not possib....oh, actually there was this one thing, but I'm sure it's..err...nothing important.."
