In which case the passengers in the yacht might continue their journey by air freight.

Just saw an email from Ablrate that said:
Anybody care to share the update? I assume it says the yacht's officially dead in the water now since it's also gone from the new loans section of the site???

Correct, hasn't attracted enough funding and has been withdrawn.

I respect Ablrate for listening to the lenders on this and not trying to 'find a way'. The actual venture may well succeed and those involved may do well. We presumably all hope so.

It's better when platforms pull out of loans that their investors aren't comfortable with, rather than trying to persuade everyone to invest against their better judgement.

It's better when platforms pull out of loans that their investors aren't comfortable with, rather than trying to persuade everyone to invest against their better judgement. Or even when the platform is not comfortable with fully funded loan (IIRC MT pulled from the loan that took ages to fill because they didn't believe that there will be enough interest from lenders to invest in further tranches). I'm very happy with such pull-outs and treat them as a very short term investment - a bit like investing in RS rolling, but at 3x the interest
