At c90m a flight (compared with 1bn for the planned nasa heavy launcher) they should be cheap.... how long till someone crowd sources or p2p funds a launch?
Of all the things I regret...

The successful simultaneous landing of the two Falcon 9 boosters was.... brilliant.
(I omitted a few words that the bad language filter would have objected to).

(I omitted a few words that the bad language filter would have objected to).Indeed but the burning (pun intended) question is what happened to the center core? Feed was cut moments before it was due to land on the drone ship. Regardless, it was an awesome achievement which brought a huge smile to my face.

Am I right in thinking that they thought there was a 50% chance of the whole bloody lot going up on the launch pad? Sure, allow some room for manoeuvre, and that they were bearing down on expectations, but even assuming something else went wrong the entire event was still a success*. Brought a smile to my face, and if I am honest a tear to my eye . * I really, really, really, really hope to not have to eat my words.

Liked the comment from a guy who said he'd left his red Tesla in a car park and now can't find it.

Liked the comment from a guy who said he'd left his red Tesla in a car park and now can't find it. Looked to me like some droid joyrider nicked it. I guess the battery ran out.

Am I right in thinking that they thought there was a 50% chance of the whole bloody lot going up on the launch pad? Reminds me of an interview I saw with Neil Armstrong many years ago. He said that prior to landing on the moon he and Buzz Aldrin thought there was a 50 / 50 chance of getting back alive.
