In case people don't read the other thread I post this here as well.
If you applied for lasting power of attorney, health or wealth or both, or its predecessor in the last 5 years and you paid full price you may be in line for a refund of some of the fees paid.
Contact the office of the public guardian with the person name, date of birth and bank account details to hand.
Interest is being paid at HMRC standard rate and there is no end date limit set as yet.
It's only up to £45 per lpa type/ person but better in your pocket than theirs.
The fees did not match costs which has triggered the repayments.
