I finally got around to adding my Ablrate investments into a spreadsheet and noticed that my totals for some of the Amortising loans were off by £0.01. This was driving me nuts trying to work out where i had got it wrong, until i noticed that the totals on the SM page agreed with my calculations!! So, the investment totals on the "Current investment" page do not all agree with corresponding totals on the SM page. Has anyone else noticed this inconsistency? ablrate

It's a little odd when you click Trade on the SM on an amortising loan where it states Your Investment is £100.01 and on the trade page it states Amount Invested By You is £100.00 I guess the Trade page mirrors the Current Investments and the SM page simply rounds up instead of down. Whatever the cause I can't get too excited over a penny (or is that a half?) but my OCD understands your pain

Keepers of books used to say that a penny out in a balance is taken seriously because it could be the difference between two large errors. We have two FC accounts and currently one has an extra £39.96 in available funds and the other has an extra £34.46. This is due, in our case, to a fault in the engine from day 1 whereby a loan part could be bought on the SM by two purchasers, both of whom would pay but only one of whom would get the part. Since September this no longer happens, because lenders cannot buy and sell loan parts directly. I wonder how long it will take FC to reconcile the old accounts, and adjust the transaction histories? Before the IPO perhaps?

Has anyone else noticed this inconsistency? i've been thinking about how to put amortizing loans into a spreadsheet but haven't looked it up yet, is it easy to do? My method is simplistic. I enter the capital amount repaid in column G and this is automatically deduced from the loan total in column B. This method is crude and requires some manual interaction. I am sure there are better approaches out there.
