Anyone have any further info on this loan renewal - I thought today Sat 16th 2014 was the last chance for this to be renewed but have not heard anything from FS about it ?

It takes a few days from the end of a loan to hear from FS.
Allowing for that, if the borrower had managed to get together the renewal fees, we would have been asked if we wanted to renew by now. I would not hold your breath on this one.

FS presumably have to allow the 7 day grace period beyond the end of the extended loan period so it may be after the bank holiday weekend before FS confirm what is happening, but default looks increasingly likely.
It could be an interesting couple of weeks on FS - the renewal period of the two fine art loans ended/ends on 16th and 19th Aug, a watch+bracelet loan matured on 12th Aug (so may default this week as no renewal is under way), and on 23rd Aug the final batch of Michael Jackson memorabilia matures (and we know MJ prices have plumetted since the loan was written).

I have had a message that the loan is to be renewed, and to contact FS to continue with the loan.
