From yesterday's update:
"Any lender that wishes to exit this loan can offer their loan parts for sale on the secondary market. Lenders that wish to remain in this loan need take no action".
Am I alone in thinking that the absence of any formal mechanism for quitting a loan on its initially agreed completion date is a bit shabby?

No so long ago you could tick whether or not you wanted to renew. These were fairweather days when most lenders would opt for renewal. ATM confidence is at a low ebb and MT has been forced into a tougher approach to keep the boat afloat. I don't think this is "shabby", IMO it is a reasonable business decision to ward off potentially damaging withdrawals.

Even then I doubt I'd stand a chance of getting in before others who will be only too happy to snap up parts in this loan.

This loan was extended in April until 26/10/2018 which my computer tells me is today. Haven't yet received either the interest payment or capital. Is this one going to pay out today MoneyThing or do you feel another extension coming on?

Hope this helps - Cheers P Well it has NOW but an hour and a quarter ago when I posted, it hadn't. I find it difficult enough keeping track of the present without trying to second guess any of an infinite number of possible futures!
There was a time (when people had more confidence in P2P) that MT vehicle loans gave you an option of whether you wanted to go with the extension/renewal or opt for payback and allow your holding to be bought eagerly by others. It's a sign of the times that MT daren't let anyone escape because they might be left holding the baby. I suspect though that if I felt strongly about being tied in for another 3 months, it would sell pretty quickly on the SM.

Agreed - no emails for loan extensions and in this case, no update on platform is poor. I suspect any sale will go in seconds! Cheers P
