this is what I do and am updating it now - I do the updates so that people don't have to wade through the original post Fine, then just post in the original thread, update the OP & put a link in the OP to the newest synopsis. That way people get an alert on a bookmarked thread, an update on changes for regular followers or the entire picture for newbies. The one thing you don't need to do is start a new thread. See how MrC does it for his DD posts, updates OP & puts a bump post to draw people's attention to it with brief details of the addition.

this is what I do and am updating it now - I do the updates so that people don't have to wade through the original post In my opinion, you create new threads as you think you will garner a greater number of 'likes' and then add a link back to the original thread so you can get more 'reads'. (The number of likes seems to be an important metric for you, but over 1100 of your current count are from a single poster, so please don't think you are somehow appealing to the masses.) You could easily just add your comments / observations to each thread relating to that loan. That you choose not to reflects the size of your ego rather than the importance or value of the comments and opinion you share. Again, that's just my opinion, but that you've chosen to ignore the desire of the majority as per the vote is also highly indicative. To be clear, I'm not asking you to cease posting on the subject, just (as others have politely asked) to stop polluting the board with multiple threads on the exact same subject and start following basic forum etiquette by confining these so-called updates to the single thread, with a summary in the opening post and iterative changes in the most recent post. Admin - could you use the forum management functionality to merge all these threads, please? Individual loans which have multiple threads are often merged, so I would hope the same principle applies here. Thx.

You've never once given a reason as to why you spend so much time ensuring people see all the negative news first when looking into FS. I am not denying there is negative news, but as said, you ensure it is always at the top. You used to claim it was to help your fellow investors, but then you let slip that you have almost nothing invested, so they aren't fellow investors, so as before, I'm confused as to why you simply take the FS updates that are there for everyone to see, and just repeat them You must be desperate to post.

When someone who isn't invested in a platform, while I am, repeatedly posts the same thing over and over regarding "mega failures" of said platform, then yes, I am incentivised to post. You are aware that this poster has three such mega failure threads just on the front page of the forum?

I'm the ghost of Christmas Future. The date is February 2020 and we are now at FA League Update 199. With tacit moderator support, only FA League Updates are now allowed to be posted and any due diligence, informed analysis or actual loan information has been relegated to the dark corners of the forum so as not to pollute the incredibly useful posts by adrian77. He has ascended to become Martin Lewis' right hand man as the risk of not repeating the exact same opinions and baseless predictions every single week is just too great. For this we are thankful. Mods - have you gone on vacation?

Mod Hat On/ There have been a number of members of this forum who have been subjected to a campaign of harassment and bullying by a ‘gang’ of others. Rarely have I seen it get this ugly though, Adrian77 has had his integrity as a poster questioned, a poll to rate the value of his posts and endless trolling, insulting comments, and malicious reporting of posts.
That Adrian77 may have the hide of a rhino, or take it all in the good humour it’s meant (first defence of the troll no…..) is irrelevant. It’s not pretty and does the forum a disservice. Those involved need to step back and refrain. There won’t be any mob rule here.
To remind you all again, you can block a member using the right hand cog wheel. For post content that breaches forum rules use the report function.

Hi star dust, long time no chat. I’m guessing you’re bracketing me within the above criticism, since I earlier used the “Report Post” function to suggest that the duplicated “FA league” threads be merged into a single thread. Why is that not a reasonable request, given that duplicated threads are regularly merged by the Mod team to keep the forum tidy (I merged many myself when I was a Mod)? The first of the forum rules includes that posts should be constructive; what is constructive about starting a new thread every time one decides to update one’s previous views on a subject? If we all did that, the forum would be a chaotic mess?

SteveT - you'd be more than welcome to rejoin the mod team to assist the four remaining over-worked mods.
Yes, no doubt these threads could be better structured (hint adrian77 - please consider a single thread going forwards) , but given the clear title can easily be skipped over - I've not looked at any of them since number 2 or 3 , they are of no relevance to me (I do my own DD so have my own risk rating for every single FS loan) so I simply ignore them. BUT, if they act as a recurring reminder to newer p2p lenders of the high risk loans on offer, then they are doing the community a service. Please remember that the majority of forum readers are not forum members, but casual guests.
Whilst I have a very sizable sum invested with FS (actually its my largest p2p platform), I am deeply concerned that many p2p investors are simply unaware of / not able to comprehend the risks they are taking. Over the years I've been the subject of a lot of vitriol on here for daring to suggest that self select p2p loans are not suitable for the vast majority of retail investors, and the FCA should act accordingly and restrict them along the lines of equity crowd funding. I still believe that, and am somewhat uncomfortable that many of the posts made on this forum may have played a role in enticing people into p2p.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and those that offer opinions which differ from the majority of "group think" are especially valuable. Its even been suggested to me (via PM) that as a large investor in FS myself I should be taking action against these threads. If they contain factual inaccuracies then yes, they need to be reported so we can investigate. However, simply having 30 people report dozens of posts of one forum member just swamps the mod team and any valid issues get overlooked.

I’m still waiting for any significant number of mentioned loans to actually “mega fail” So we can post the statistics related to the accuracy of the fantasy league and their minimal effect on overall returns
We can put everything undo the heading. “ Sometimes loans fail” narrative by Paul Daniels “Not A lot”

I just want to know what the Football Association are going to say about being brought into all of this mess.

I await the Champions League competition, where all platforms can bring their terrible loans to the table and compete for the title of ultimate worst p2p investment in the universe.

nice and ingenious thinking and totally fanciful- I am about to buy my 6th house, currently run 4 building sites and love my life and family - do you really think I am bothered how many "likes" I get because I don't give a monkey's believe me. Also I am not a journalist...
Ref my next purchase which may be interest to those of you that aren't talking your book and trying to shoot me down - this house was on the market for X and the owners are doing it up but have run out of money and my agent has contacted me stating that for a cash purchase they will take a low offer - how low - 20% of X! I just hope the chap with £6m of our money (I am in 2 of his loans) is in a stronger position !

23) Roddymoor
update 08/02/19
flrst overdue loan over 7 months late, all loans due by 9th march 2019
loans available at discount on SM ...
Thank you for alerting me to this - made me realise that my (very) small holding in Tranche 6 is extremely unlikely to renew/repay anywhere near 13 March (I think you're slightly out with your date above).
It's not at all fair but partly because my loan part was active for a day less than competing parts and partly because of rounding (it was only a £25 part) my offer for sale went straight to the front of the queue and sold in about 4 hours. Sorry about that if anyone is still trying to sell.

sorry - you are totally correct - first loan was due to be repaid 09.08.18 i.e. 6 months late and all loans due by 27th March which is not very far away! Maybe this chap will refinance...
