Under account preferences, there used to be an option to set the time for auto log off. Now it says
"To keep your RateSetter account safe and secure, you will be automatically logged out of your account after 15 minutes of inactivity. You can always log out yourself using the ‘sign out’ in the top hand corner of the session."
On my account this works as stated but for my wife, the account remains logged in indefinitely, including overnight after a system shutdown.
I know that when we could set these, I had set them to never log out but they never remained logged in after a shutdown.
Both accounts are accessed through Firefox on a Windows 10 PC. Does anyone else have an account that remains logged in persistently rather than behaving as RS have stated?

I just left my RS session inactive for 30 minutes and it stayed logged in. Firefox, but on Windows 7 (!)

I've just tried the "persistent" account in IE11 and that was still logged in after 4 hours!

If I leave it on the ISA account it logs out, if I leave it on the everyday account it doesn't. Both were set to not log out automatically, but I think the ISA always did log out quite quickly whatever the setting.

Mine always logs out, but the time taken is variable. Sometimes it goes in 15 minutes as stated, but other times I can be away for a couple of hours and find myself still logged in.

I actually quite like it to not log out. What I don't think I've ever seen on anything with a persistent login (this forum is a good example) is that after a browser/computer shutdown, you are still logged in! There must be a security issue in there somewhere!

Always best to log out manually though, just in case.

Whilst I'm quite happy with an automated logout (standard for most online banking) I do wish it would remember where you were when it logged you out, and return you there when you logged back in.

My Windows 7 Firefox session also stayed active - in spite of running ccleaner and installing a lengthy windows update with 2 restarts.
Opera however did not.
