Anyone else had this error?
No amount could be traded. Reason: Errors: Error Code: CAPITAL_AMOUNT_EXCEEDED -> This repayment exceeds the remaining capital on the investment
Anyone else had this error and managed to circumvent the error?
Thanks in advance...

Yes, I think someone else mentioned it in the bugs thread - guess you've been trying to hoover up some 95% loans?
Seems that you can't buy if the capital@100% value is greater than your available funds - if you split into 2 smaller trades then it goes through fine

Yes also had that even tho you have funds on account it does this on loans with a big discount seems to be a bug in the fact that you say have £100 cash to spend the loan is offered at a discount but fails only way round it it to be slightly less ie £99 it let’s you buy it seems a bug in the system. Presume to prevent buying more than you have cash on the account but with discounted loans it fails !

Odd. I have about £7k in the account and I have tried to buy £400/£500/£600.
Cannot fathom it.

Yes. I had it few times long time ago until I realised that accrued interest is added to the amount you buy Then I had one more and it probably was because of micro-penny discrepancy, as soon as I took 1p off the purchase went through OK.

Maybe ablrate could add a 'common cause' link to the error code message.

Even if the amount + the interest is less than you have in your account, it can still fail because 'amount' used in the check is the 'at par' amount, not the actual purchase price amount (which is pretty dumb - they added the interest on before the check, but didn't adjust for the premium/discount?)

ablrate - any update on this issue please? I must have seen this error message a dozen times or more this weekend, it doesn't seem to matter how much I reduce my bid by, the message keeps reappearing

Probably worth raising through customer services directly - if the platform is not working for you.
