If bankruptcy is so disastrous why is the p to p industry littered with them? Dubious types trousering lender equity with no apologies or simply poor business acumen and useless investor guarantees. Even as a tiny investor I've seen the lot. Regardless of my view if this borrower doesn't pull their finger out soon they will come a cropper. Time is not on their side.

It strikes me that in this case, as in all defaulted loans ,that 'The Borrowers' should immediately annex the goods/property and then take THEIR time in achieving a satisfactory sale . Is that unreasonable /impossible ? Aren't we, essentially, pawnbrokers? 'Reasonable' to the Borrower might be a sale price that involves a substantial haircut to us Lenders and that's a problem for me (as would be the Borrower taking years more than the agreed length of the loan)

Sounds very much like AC are fed up with answering questions, as well.

I don't know why AC bother with a Q&A page all they ever do is ask people not to post questions.......If they actually answered them in their own Q&A page they and the borrowers would not be getting such a hard time in the public forums.

The borrower is probably a lovely person and has my full sympathy. My beef is with AC who decided to fund it with £2000 of my hard earned savings , instead of 20.00... nary a credible explanation and an ingenuous shrug. They knew it was wrong, but never asked.

I'd like to know which idiot took a quarter of my cash and slapped it on this piece of sh*t.
Then I will give the runt a lesson in risk management with the tip of my shoe.
I have cleared out my account, save for the defaults.
I do not recommend this P2P site (actually P2B) to anyone.
Don't lend your money to businesses, just to individuals (proper P2P). The law allows businesses to come and go but the law will hunt individuals to the ends of the Earth.

Or until they declare themselves bankrupt anyway...

Yep, me too, I won't invest another penny in this P2P company. They are without a doubt the absolute pants of P2P lending, thrifty with lenders money, pandering to borrowers, believing just about anything a borrower says with no hard evidence and generally completely unhelpful and unwilling to look after investors interests. Its shame they don't offer a bonus for advising people to steer clear, I would be minted now.........

Public comment and debate on this loan and the latest lender vote information is NOT in lenders’ interests. I strongly recommend that posts are only made in the Private AC board (“pink pages”)
