Anyone know why ratesetter accounts are no longer showing the right balance. i have 2 accounts one shows 66k instead of 83k and the other shows 12k instead of 14k? bit worrying. Have they got IT issues or something. The bit where you log in and the portfolio shows the low figure and the "your balance sheet bit" seems to be correct.
Edit -- rang them and it's just slow batch processing -- sorry for my panic

Yes, minor heart attack as my monthend accounting threw up a large discrepancy. Ratesetter says;
"I can advise that we are experiencing a processing delay with our system whereby account balances and payments that were sent had not updated correctly and reflecting true figures. Occasionally, we do experience this slight time lapse at the start of the month, especially when the first working day falls after a weekend.
This can be caused by a number of reasons, on a busy day like the first working day of the month or on a Monday the volume of transactions being processed can result in the transactions taking a number of hours to complete. In addition, the borrower has the option to repay the loan or make an extra payment at any point throughout the day.
Our lender terms state money will be repaid and reinvested on a particular date but does not give a time frame. I can confirm that no funds have been withdrawn or allocated elsewhere. We anticipate the system will be fully updated by this afternoon .
We apologise for any cause for concern and the inconvenience this may have caused you. If you do require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us."

Ditto. Over £150 down when I looked a short while ago. I was thinking (hoping!) it might be a 'time of the month' issue and that seems to have been confirmed here. Phew! Will just have to wait and see for the moment I guess. Bit sloppy for a regulated entity though.

It took until late last night to fully reconcile my account though. I tracked it down to the 'Relending' of Rolling in my ISA causing the discrepancy in my case.

It's been a bone of contention on the Zopa platform quite a while. As an ex software systems person in a large Uk comms company a few years back being able to juggle online and offline (batch) processing was always an issue. getting them lined up was always an issue too.
Zopa still hasn't got them lined up but at least we are talking pennys in their system most of the time.
I was kinda hoping that RS was a bit better than Zopa, its front end is like streets ahead in my view but It is early days for me in RS.

My totals are wrong as well. They are wrong today. In the space of half an hour, my overall total has declined by over £100. I noticed a few days ago, the overall amount in my account appeared to be lower than it should. Today that overall total has declined even further and THAT was before I noticed a further £100 gone missing...

yep my totals are incorrect again now too- they were fine at lunchtime. The balance sheet near the bottom of the account home page is showing correct though.

Although I have rollover money stuck in "Waiting for the loan to be formed", I also have £700+ completely missing from the account. That's the first time I've ever had money I could not account for within the account.

They did however quote a figure to me well above what was showing as my account balance, which agreed to my own records. So not unduly worried as long as they correct it soon as does not look good. Cheers P

I've found that if you expand 'Balance Sheet' it has something approximating the correct total. Just had the same, totals in 'your lending' lower than expected, 'balance sheet' total looks about right, with lots of little bits at different rates I would find it impossible to break this down - trust it will adjust it's self later. (thanks jo ) Edit: couple of hours later and both 'your lending' and 'balance sheet' totals are the same, guess the RS machine must have been 'in progress'.
