You haven’t stated what your net earnings are. Yet you claim you don’t expect to get more than 75% of your capital back. You also think other posters return figures are optimistic and that they’ve probably given no consideration to liquidity and being able to exit FC by selling. Well, this 139 page thread of 10 months is all about the lack of liquidity on FC so I’m pretty sure everyone you’re in dialogue with is pretty well informed about the inability to sell. Each to their own understanding. I’m confident that I’ll get out of my recent ISA with all my capital and a couple of percent on top. That’s a lot less than FC of old when 6% was achievable, but I’ll be happy to be out on my most recent experiment without suffering any losses and without being stuck for years or even months. robdmarh£11250 invested march 2018 £1500 defaults £700 lates £25 recoveries how much interest have you had over that period ? it does seem you've done particularly badly

Hi Keitha, I'll go and get all my numbers now (also to make sure I'm not "hiding" any as somebody has suggested here...). They are as follows:
Capital invested, March 2018: £11,250 Interest: £2,177.07 Fees: £207.40 Defaults: £1,483.04 Recoveries: £25.33 Portfolio total: £11,757.01
On 31/12/19 I requested the sale of £10,904.32 in loan parts, basically the whole lot which wasn't in late or processing. I have received so far £1,384.10 of which £573.85 has come from sales and £810.25 from repayments.
Good or bad? Not sure, maybe you can tell me
Just to add, at the moment by their calculations this 2.6% annualised.

1st round 3/12 | 1.65%
2nd round 11/12 | 1.30%
3rd round 18/12 | 1.12%
4th round 28/12 | 1.61%
5th round 7/1 | 1.22%
6th round 14/1 | 1.17%
7th round 24/1 | 1.35%
8th round 4/2/ | 1.35%
9th round 16/2 | 1.32%
Days between sales: 8/7/10/10/7/10/11/12
Creeping every so slightly wider on sale dates, but pretty consistent. I wasn't expecting a Sunday sale, for some reason I expected just week days. Although in retrospect no reason a private market would need to be confined to weekdays.

IMO you'll most likely and up with a small overall profit. Not one that will have been worth the risk and reduced liquidity, but probably around the same as you could have earnt from an FSCS protected account, possibly even slightly higher. The chance of ending up with your predicted 25% capital loss is incredibly small unless FC were to enter administration, which also seems incredibly unlikely in the short term given their capital reserves. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Ok, so my net earnings (pretty obviously from these figures) are £500, or £501.07 to be precise, no other transfers made (again I obviously would have stated these had there been any). No, I never thought p2p was just like a protected savings account.
I didn't put up this number because I was doubtful about really getting this out in the end due to the level of defaults, their record on debt recovery, the tanking share price, the very perceptible change in their management style (for the worse) and poor communication with investors as well as poor reviews in the press. Ok, so my predictions may have been overly gloomy but I do think that the issues that I have mentioned should be called out - their management will have done very well from the IPO, and it is not acceptable the way they have treated their investors. And am I spoiling it for everyone else if I write negative things about FC on forums such as this because we need new investors to buy our loans? Well, I don't think new investors will end up here until they want to liquidate too, the poor s**s.
Anyway, nice work on finding out how to play their system with the rounds selling. I might give it a go myself to see if it speeds things up a little. Cheers and good luck all!
