Today I received an encouraging response from my MP's office.
The letter to my MP was definitely worth sending and I hope as many of us as possible do likewise. Even if only a few MPs respond positively it all adds to the pressure on the FCA, which must be a good thing.

Is there any value in talking to an MSP as well? Ours is in our area in the next couple of weeks, and they are senior enough if interested to get it kicked about in westminster too - they love anything that will kick the Cambridge set about.
Duck, regardless, appreciate a copy of the letter too. I doubt I'll hear anything as I have never heard back (typical Tory), but one can but try.

Duck, regardless, appreciate a copy of the letter too. I doubt I'll hear anything as I have never heard back (typical Tory), but one can but try. A copy of the letter will arrive by PM shortly. Several investors with MSP's have already sent theirs a copy, IMHO the more letters that go out the better. As you say all that is needed is for the MSP/Westminster MP to pick up on the letter and take it up. Some investors will have success (several cases already) and others will hit a brick wall (only one so far). Regardless of the 'outcome' with your MSP/MP you are increasing your possibilities of seeing a satisfactory result. If your MP takes up the matter with the FCA your 'case file' will be increased in size adding more material to the original complaint. If your MP doesn't take up the matter you have a valuable piece of paper to add to your individual 'paper trail' which is always useful.

Hi Duck Request for template letter too. As my MP is a member of ERG and already has me on a ‘troublemakers’ list I don’t hold out a lot of hope but happy to give it a try.

Would be interested in how many people get real replies. I sent mine to my MP a month ago - only had an automatic reply so far. Will be chasing shortly. I sent my original email on 12th August and received only an automated reply so I on Wednesday this week (25th) I asked for an update on when I might receive a proper reply. A letter dated 26th has just arrived saying 'I sincerely apologise for the delay in replying to your email sent on August 12th, regarding the conduct of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). I am sorry to hear of the distress and financial loss you are experiencing. I have raised your concerns with the Chief Executive of the FCA, Mr Andrew Bailey, enclosing a copy of your correspondence. Once I have received a response from the FCA, I will of course update you". So if your MP has been slow to respond prodding them again might work.
